 The Experience

Choosing your photographer is about more than beautiful images - it’s about feeling comfortable, prepared, and confident throughout the entire process. From planning your session to selecting your finished artwork; my goal is to make every step enjoyable and stress-free. Below you’ll find answers to the questions I hear most often.

How much is a session fee?

Session fees start at $189 but price depends on the type of session you are booking.

Are digital files included in the session fee?

No. I have a full service studio where I like to help my clients throughout the entire process. From scheduling the session date, choosing outfits, viewing and choosing favorite poses and finally - putting prints or albums in their hands. While I do sell digital files, they are not included in the price of the session fee.

How much am I going to spend on prints/collections/etc?

Every session is unique; which is why I provide starting prices rather than a long list of packages. Together, we’ll create an experience tailored to your vision and I’ll help you choose the collection that best fits your needs. The starting investments below will give you an idea of what to expect before booking.

What my clients spend truly varies based on what they envision with their final images. Collections start at $395 and individual prints start at $36. Please fill out the contact or booking form to discuss more details about your future session.

Prepayment plans are now available.

What should I ask my photographer?

Most people are quick to ask about pricing, but there are other factors you should consider when choosing the photographer for you (whether it's me or someone else). Some questions I would consider asking is:

1) Do you have a client closet or clothing guide for me and my family?

2) What types of products do you offer to help me display my beautiful images in my home?

3) Am I alone in the process of narrowing down and choosing which poses should go on my wall or in my album? Or will you help me through that process?

4) What if I don't know what size picture looks best in the space on my wall, is that something you can help me with?

5) I prefer candid poses but see mostly posed images in your portfolio - will I like my images?

6) What if my child (or husband) isn't cooperative on the day of our session, will we still get good images?

7) I like a light/airy style but see mostly dark/moody images in your portfolio, can you make my images light and airy?

You always want to make sure your photographer is going to be a good fit for the look you are going for with your final images so be sure to ask more questions than just pricing.

How far in advance should I book my session?

The earlier, the better! My calendar often fills several months in advance, especially during the busy fall season.

  • Senior Sessions: I recommend booking as soon as the current school year graduates in May. Fall dates are the first to fill, and weekend appointments are extremely limited.
  • Family Sessions: If you’re hoping for beautiful fall colors, plan to reserve your session about 6 months in advance to have the best selection of dates.
  • Maternity & Newborn Sessions: It’s best to book shortly after you find out you’re expecting. We’ll reserve your due date on my calendar and schedule your session once your little one arrives. Maternity pictures are best taken between 28-32 weeks pregnant.
  • Boudoir & Branding Sessions: These sessions are photographed during weekday business hours in the studio, so scheduling is typically more flexible than outdoor portrait sessions.

No matter what type of session you’re planning, I always recommend reaching out as soon as you have a season or timeframe in mind. Booking early gives you the most flexibility and ensures you don’t miss out on your preferred date.

Can we bring our dog (or other pet)?

Absolutely! I love dogs and they're always welcome to join your photoshoot. If you know your dog is a bit on the challenging side, I recommend bringing treats and even an extra person who's familiar with your pet.
