DID YOU KNOW?

Maternity sessions are best done around the 26-28 week mark. That way you have a nice round baby belly but you're not quite to the point of being uncomfortable.

As a mom to three boys ranging from 13 to 24, I know how quickly the little moments become the memories you hold onto most. From newborn details to graduating seniors, growing families, and even the pets we call family, I’m here to preserve this season of your life with honest, meaningful imagery that feels like you.

What are your hours?

Currently, Perception consists of just me; Amber! If I'm meeting with clients or at a photoshoot, there's nobody in the office. For this reason, the studio is open by appointment only. Don't let that deter you though. While I'm in and out a lot - if you drop me a message we can usually coordinate a time to meet in the studio on pretty short notice!

Where are you located?

The studio is located on the West side of Harlan, Iowa's historic downtown Square. More specifically: 601 Court St. Harlan, IA 51537

While my studio location is pretty rural, I am happy to travel and serve the Omaha, Des Moines and Sioux City areas. Or anywhere in between!

Do you have to book sessions in advance?

We do not take walk-in clients for portrait sessions. Available times for sessions are limited and must be booked in advance. Sessions include planning locations, best time of day for the session, outfits, etc; it would be difficult to do that on the fly! We DO take passport photo walk-ins if the schedule allows.

What payment options do you accept?

Perception accepts cash, check, Afterpay and debit/credit card. I'd also accept payments in the form of alpacas, puppies, and concert tickets. Just kidding! Well, kind of.

Prepayment plans are also available.
